Very tasty and pleasant experience here! The fried dumplings were tasty and dense, while the Shanghai noodles were packed with an unique flavour. Service was very friendly and efficient. Lots of seating available inside as well.
Definitely will be back here to try more of the menu (which had a large variety of seafood, chicken and vegetarian options).

Whilst still serving quality dumplings and food, this extension of the city-based juggernaut is missing all the characteristics that elevate DK from other take out
The Dumpling King on Gouger Street is potentially peak dumplings in Adelaide, so a branch off from the original has big shoes to fill.
Unfortunately, for me this place falls short
The food remains delicious and brings the flavours that DK is known for, however, for me this place lacks all the vibe and energy that comes with the original place
I sat here eating my food in almost dead silence, surrounded by fridges that almost come across as stock handling
The seating itself is nostalgic but overall it's a let down. I might order from here online, but I doubt I'll come in again

Staff - professional, high work ethic, and friendly.
Food - super yummy. Authentic Chinese food. Love the sauce on the table. And hot tea. ☕️ They sell many frozen products and breads too. Greta quality and quantity!! Great value.
Atmosphere - great air ventilation. nice seats. Very spacious.
Definitely recommend!!

It's so lucky I can enjoy such authentic Xiaolongbao here - a steamed juicy pork buns from my hometown, Shnaghai, China.
The delicious soup in the Xiaolongbao is like a magic making my dopamine constantly being produced. What a happy moment!
Apart from that, the traditional dumplings with chicken and prawn mince filling are highly recommended, and I personally like the pan-fired one. The skin gives off a light burnt smell and when it's broken by your teeth, a mixture of fresh chicken and prawn's scrumptious flavour just rushes into the mouth. Yeah, your taste bud will dance. That's the feeling I have.
So, although this restaurant just cook simple and fast-food like meals, the flavor is not simple and you can feel their chef's cooking skills.

Decent feed. Dumplings in noodle soup. While broth at first smelt of flavour, it tasted quite bland. Added soy and chilli oil and instantly was better. Dumplings tasty, good size and a breath of nostalgia to the previous and original dumpling king. Plenty of noodles, cooked firm but absorbent. Atmosphere is where its a bit odd, very quiet, somewhat awkward, and unsure of why they need 30 fridges in the dining room. Waited 35min for one dish in a somewhat empty Tuesday lunch service. Would return, but by the wait not in a busy service or dinner rush. Overall a decent feed and I can predict improvement as time goes on, given how new this site is.
